What is a Registered Training Organisation?

Registered Training Organisations are providers and assessors of nationally recognised training. Only registered training organisations can issue Australian Qualification Framework qualifications.
In order to become registered, training providers must meet the NVR Standards. This ensures the quality of vocational education and training throughout Australia. Training organisations must register with their relevant state or territory registration authority to provide nationally recognised training.

What courses does Paradigm Training Group offer?

Paradigm Training Group currently offers a range of courses, check out our 'Courses' page here for more information.

What's the difference between face-to-face, online and distance learning?

Face-to-Face or classroom learning is where all material, assessment's etc are delivered face-to-face in a classroom setting. Distance learning is where learning and assessment materials are supplied electronically or via post. The student completes thier work and submits the completed work back to Paradigm Training Group via email or by post.

Online learning is a way of studying on an online platform dedicated to online course delivery. Paradigm Training Group uses a platform called VASTO. With online learning, all course materials are online, assessments are submitted online for marking, and communication between student's and trainers is done online.

What are the benefits of studying by online learning?

Online delivery is self-paced meaning you work at your own pace, so if you've got access to a PC with an internet connection, you're ready to go.

How does Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) work?

In some cases students may be able to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) if they have previously achieved the learning outcomes for an accredited module through another training course, or have other evidence validating their competence. The RTO will offer RPL for all courses where there is evidence to support the RPL application.

Evidence for RPL (certificates, transcripts, or other evidence) should be attached to an Application for RPL kit and submitted to the tutor of a course who will liaise with the RTO's administrative staff to confirm whether the RPL status is granted, denied, or whether further information/evidence is required. If you are considering applying for RPL please speak to a PTG staff member to discuss your evidence and request an RPL kit.

What is nationally recognised training?

National Recognition of training means that all Australian states and territories will recognise:

• The decisions of all other states and territories in registering training organisations and accrediting nationally recognised courses. Once registered by one jurisdiction, this enables a registered training organisation to operate in any state or territory without a further registration process; and

• Australian Qualifications Framework qualifications and statements of attainment issued by other registered training organisations. This enables individuals to receive national recognition of their qualifications and statements of attainment. The nationally recognised training logo is used on all Australian Qualifications Framework qualifications and statements of attainment. Only registered training organisations may use the logo and only for training that is within its scope of registration.
